We share the Statement of People's Law Office International demanding immediate release of their colleague, people's lawyer Aytac Ünsal and to enable his treatment, which is now prevented by the Edirne F Type prison authorities.
Aytac Ünsal must not be killed in prison, he should be released immediately!

WE WILL NOT ALLOW AYTAC TO BE KILLED!
Our colleague and comrade, People's Lawyer Aytaç Ünsal, was illegally arrested again on December 10, 2020 and has been isolated in prison for weeks. Aytaç, who has health problems as a result of the death fast, is neither being treated nor receiving his medication. They want to kill Aytaç by preventing his treatment and keeping him under isolation. We will not allow this to happen!
People's Lawyer Aytaç Ünsal was in a death fast resistance for 214 days together with our colleague and comrade Ebru Timtik, who died on the 238th day of the death fast for the right to a fair trial. Since his health condition was not suitable for the prison conditions, he was released and his sentence was postponed by the decision of the Court of Appeal.
Aytaç was arrested on December 10, 2020 as a result of a plot, tortured and before his treatment was finished, the decision to postpone his execution of sentence was unlawfully revoked and he was arrested again.
Aytaç Ünsal, who was not even supposed to stay in prison for health reasons and was released for this reason, has been in solitary confinement in Edirne F Type Prison for a month. He is not given vitamin B1, which is mandatory for his treatment. Since his treatment cannot be continued, he continues to lose weight and his body shows hematomas.
The inflammation at the end of the nerves as a result of the death fast progresses rapidly without treatment. Aytaç's right to life is seriously threatened. Aytaç Ünsal, who was sentenced to 10 years and 6 months in prison in a political trial for revenge, is now apparently to be murdered for the same political reasons. We will not allow this!
Our colleague, the people's lawyer Aytaç Ünsal, must immediately be given the vitamin B1 that is obligatory for his treatment, and he must be released immediately so that he can continue his treatment. We appeal to all our colleagues, to all legal associations, bar associations and our people to support Aytaç as they did during the months of resistance and demand his freedom so that he can be treated.
