Man killed in East Jerusalem shooting
A 40-year-old Arab man was shot to death in East Jerusalem on Friday.
Emergency services arrived at the scene and took him to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem where he was pronounced dead. Police have opened an investigation into the matter which they believe to be criminal in nature.
On Thursday, a man was shot to death and six others were wounded on in a shooting that followed a dispute between two families in the Bedouin city of Rahat in southern Israel.
Thirty-old physical education teacher Wisam Abu Ajami was shot to death, another 30-year-old man was severely wounded, a woman aged 40 and two men aged 67 and 20 were moderately wounded, and two others were lightly wounded.
Last week, a 40-year-old man was shot dead in his car in the Arab city of Tira in central Israel. His son, aged 5 was seriously wounded, and his 12-year-old nephew who was also with him is in a moderate condition.

On the same day, five men were moderately and lightly wounded when an armed man arrived at a mourners' gathering in the Arab city of Kafr Qasem and began shooting indiscriminately at those present, according to eyewitnesses.
The death toll from violence in the Arab community in Israel since the beginning of 2022 stands at 61.
